About Lucky Brand

 Lucky Brand, a subsidiary of Liz Claiborne, was founded in Vernon, California in 1990 by longtime friends Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman. Before starting LUCKY, Gene worked for Bongo jeans for 15 years, helping it grow into a multi-million dollar business.

 Lucky produces outerwear, sportswear, t-shirt and active wear. Their products are available at 150 stores across the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Arab Emirate. The Lucky Brand style focuses on a bohemian, Southern California ascetic, combining its founders love for rock 'n' roll and denim. Denim is the major seller and each pair of jeans has two four-leaf clovers and the phrase "LUCKY YOU" stitched onto the inside of the fly shield. All the jeans are distressed and come in a variety of fits, such as boot, flare, straight, easy rider, classic rider, and low rise. Lucky has gathered a strong celebrity following including Jessica Simpson, Will Smith, Brad Pitt and Halle Berry. Lucky also works with the wardrobe department of many major Hollywood studios and Lucky designs have been seen on CSI, Scrubs, Medium, and Without a Trace.

 While Lucky began by focusing on denim, today the company designs sportswear, knits, swimwear and accessories. Lucky is carried in all high-end department stores. All Lucky products are made in the USA, Mexico and Sri Lanka. All US made jeans are handmade and the detailing is done by hand.
