About Kooba

 Kooba was founded in 1998 by Bonnie and Abby Held, a mother-daughter team, with Abby designing and Bonnie running the business. In 2007, a private equity firm became the major stake holder in Kooba. Known mostly for their handbags, Kooba crafts their bags from genuine leather in a variety of shapes and colors.

 The bags are often named after celebrities, with one of the brand's most popular bags named for actress Sienna Miller. Bags are priced from $200 to $1100 and can be found at high-end department stores. Kooba bags are popular among celebrities such as Jennifer Anniston and Kristen Bell. In addition, the bags have appeared on numerous television shows including Bravo's "The Fashion Show" and "NYC Prep." In 2007, Kooba launched a line of fall tops, jackets and outwear.
